Powdery Mildew

A long winter and a wet spring you will see the growth of powdery mildew. It is very common and can show up on many varieties of grasses. It likes cold shady areas with not much air circulation. It can spread to large areas on your lawn. It looks like fine white flour-looking powder that covers the grass surface. To get this to go away: rake out the area, trim trees or low hanging branches to improve the light and air circulation.
